In this post, you have the option to either meet Caterina in person or leave her an audio or video message. State which you want and I will happily follow your lead.
[It's a bit disappointing to be deprived of the joy of seeing her, but he can't say he's all that surprised. And he's not going to let that little detail spoil things. She had asked to speak with him, after all, and that was more than enough to keep him happy. Even in the face of that remark.
He's still troubled by the incident, but he can't help but smile faintly, triumphantly, as he responds.]
[He knows; it's the only explanation for his tone. Caterina matches the respectful tone, sounding a little tired as well.] How can I help you, Brother Petros?
[It's very early in the morning when the call comes in. Wade's voice sounds nothing like his usual self, almost as if his cocky, go-to-hell bravado has been completely stripped away. He sounds tired and in pain.]
Hey, uh... Cat? Are you awake?

[audio forever... or until we pick something else #yolo]
[Caterina has never been one for a set sleep schedule. Her imprisonment in that hospital where nearly all she did was asleep certainly didn't help things. She answers swiftly and doesn't conceal the concern in her voice when she replies.]
I am. [She did answer.] Wade, is everything alright? Are you in trouble?
[It wouldn't take her too long to kick Petros awake to do something about it.]
Outside the building? [She frowns at her nightgown though really that's not the issue. He's not supposed to get sick when his ability is working... correct? She'll deal with that in a moment.]
I'll need a few minutes to change. I can't go outside like this. [Okay she could, but Caterina assumes she'll be sick in bed for a week afterward. Her nightgowns aren't exactly made for autumn weather.]
Y-Yeah! Yeah, that's totally fine. I'll just be... y'know. Out here. Take your time. Uh, see you in a few.
[His voice takes on a strangled, desperate tone at the end, and he hangs up the phone with clumsy fingers and stuffs it into one of his pouches. For a moment he stands there in the chilly air, taking deep breaths to calm himself.
The nausea nearly drives him to his knees. Panting, he tears his mask away from his mouth not a second too soon. With a low, guttural groan, he braces himself against the outside wall of the apartment and proceeds to vomit up what meager breakfast he's had.]
[It's a kind gesture. Sometimes Caterina forgets that despite his hatred of her, he is still capable of offering things like this. She supposes she should take Petros up on his offer. It isn't about feelings though her heart does ache for someone so young to die so cruelly and unjustly. They'll need to talk. There are always consequences to actions such as these and she may as well see what his thoughts are.
Caterina heads to the church hoping to catch him. It's their common ground. Really she'd like to pray for Jessica's soul anyways.]
[Caterina has fallen asleep here a few times for the same reason. She's still surprised to find him asleep once she reaches the inside of the church. Waking him up would be rude even with a relationship as strained as theirs so Caterina opts to wait it out. If her entering the church doesn't awake him perhaps her waiting for him to awaken will. She can't help continuing to look at him to see if he's up yet.]
[petros doesn't dream here anymore. before he would pray then sleep, as he had been told to ever since he was a child. here, he just waits for exhaustion before he closes his eyes. even then, it's not enough.
it feels right, sleeping here, as if god himself is taking care of him. sadly, he hears caterina at the door (trained in case it was a methuselah and he bolts up right.]
Your Holiness. You should have called, I would have escorted you.

I was told that you wished to speak with me... [And he is oh so very pleased.]

Kampfer. I see the grave didn't suit you.

I daresay it did not.
audio forever
Nor did it seem to trouble you. I was hoping you would share your experience. I could only learn so much from your associate.

Yeah, yeah-- no, I'm fine. Just feelin' a little under the weather, that's all. Look-- I, uh...
[He pauses; closes his eyes tightly for a few seconds. Oh god, his stomach is killing him--]
I really think we should talk about something. Could you come down here, maybe? I'm, like... right outside the apartment.
